Dear Gate users,
I need some guidance regarding hole -septa structure of collimator as
explained below;
# C O L L I M A T O R
/gate/shielding/daughters/name collimator
/gate/shielding/daughters/insert box
/gate/collimator/geometry/setXLength 59.1 cm
/gate/collimator/geometry/setYLength 44.5 cm
/gate/collimator/geometry/setZLength 2.405 cm
/gate/collimator/placement/setTranslation 0. 0. -5.0025 cm
/gate/collimator/setMaterial Lead
/gate/collimator/attachPhantomSD
/gate/collimator/vis/forceWireframe
/gate/collimator/vis/setColor blue
# H O L E S
/gate/collimator/daughters/name hole
/gate/collimator/daughters/insert hexagone
/gate/hole/geometry/setHeight 2.405 cm
/gate/hole/geometry/setRadius 0.0555 cm
/gate/hole/placement/setRotationAxis 1 0 0
/gate/hole/placement/setRotationAngle 0 deg
/gate/hole/setMaterial Air
/gate/hole/vis/forceWireframe
/gate/hole/vis/setColor white
# FILL THE WHOLE COLLIMATOR WITH SEPTA-HOLE
/gate/hole/repeaters/insert cubicArray
/gate/hole/cubicArray/setRepeatNumberX 465
#/gate/hole/cubicArray/setRepeatNumberY 350
/gate/hole/cubicArray/setRepeatNumberY 4
/gate/hole/cubicArray/setRepeatNumberZ 1
/gate/hole/cubicArray/setRepeatVector 0.127 0.127 0.0 cm
# Repeat these holes in a linear
/gate/hole/repeaters/insert linear
/gate/hole/linear/setRepeatNumber 2
/gate/hole/linear/setRepeatVector 0. 0.2405 0.2405 cm
The collimator size is 59.1 x 44.5 x 2.405 and hole hexagonal size is
(height is 2.405 cm and radius is 0.0555 cm.
Now the whole collimator should need to be filled with hole and septa of
0.016cm.
Can you please guide me what should be the value of repeat vector along X
and Y direction and the value of setRepeatVector for cubic array and also
for linear repeater?
I calculated setRepeatVector X and Y values as by dividing sum of hole
diameter (0.0555 x 2 = 0.111 cm) and septa (0.016 cm ) (which is
0.111+0.016 = 0.127.) with X (59.1cm ) and Y (44.5 cm) of collimator ;
59.1 / 0.127 =465
44.5 / 0.127 = 350
These values are not seems to be practical.
Can anyone guide me, the correct way.
Thanking you.
Regards
Hussain
