[Gate-users] Query - Ion source definition

Dear Gate Users

I have been working with some Lu-177, I-131 and Y-90 sources using the MIRD
book spectral data (MIRD: Radionuclide Data and Decay Schemes). In the last
week I started to implement the source using the Ion definition:
Lu-177:
/gate/source/NAME/gps/particle ion
/gate/source/NAME/gps/ion 71 177 0 0
/gate/source/NAME/gps/energy 0 MeV
/gate/source/NAME/setForcedUnstableFlag true
/gate/source/NAME/useDefaultHalfLife

The problem is that I could not reproduce the voxel kernel that I obtained
with the spectral definition. I validated the spectral sources with
previous publication and with OLINDA spheres model.

In case of the physics I am only charging *emlivermore list* and the
*RadioactiveDecay
process*.

I would like to ask if someone has experience with Ion sources. My main
problem is that I achieve good values in the first two voxels (1mm size
each one) but after the second voxel all the value are lower than the
values obtained by the spectral definition. I would like to ask if it is
necessary to include some other physics process. From my point of view the
problem come from the photons.

Best regards
Maikol
