Dear GATE users,
I've been working on some simulation using a neutron source with energy 2.5
MeV (mean energy of Cf-252). I noticed that the neutrons interact with the
world material (air or vacuum) producing electrons and gamma. However, as
soon as they touch any object (water phantom, a sheet or anything in the
simulation) the neutron deposit all it's energy in the first layer of the
object and no secondary radiations are produced. Is this how the simulation
should work? or there is something wrong I need to fix?
I'm using vGate v8.1 and the physics list emstandard and QGSP_BIC_HP
Best Regards,
Ezzat
