[Gate-users] Scintillation light generation

Dear Forum,

I am trying to simulate the response of a square bar shaped scintillator to incoming neutrons and gamma-rays. A this point I am only directing protons of varying energies onto the scintillator and simulating the light collection efficiency at two ends of the bar shaped scintillator. My question is with regards to the automatic physics builder lists that are now recommended in GATE. I have tried with adding the pertinent physics lists, however, it turns out that the new method of building physics lists does not allow scintillation light generation. I have to revert to the old method of "adding processes" one-by-one if I want scintillation light generation to take place. Is this the expected behavior of Gate v8.1? Or is there a workaround that I am not aware of?

Thanks !

Best regards,
Ilker Meric.
