Dear GATE Users,
I am trying to simulate an in-beam PET for proton radiotherapy. I found
problems with beta+ emitters which do not decaying at all. I work with
GATE v.8.0, Geant4 v.10.3.3. My physics list looks as follows:
/gate/physics/addPhysicsList QGSP_BERT_HP_EMY
/gate/physics/ActivateStepLimiter proton
/gate/physics/ActivateStepLimiter deuteron
/gate/physics/ActivateStepLimiter triton
/gate/physics/ActivateStepLimiter alpha
/gate/physics/ActivateStepLimiter GenericIon
/gate/physics/ActivateStepLimiter e-
/gate/physics/Gamma/SetCutInRegion world 1 mm
/gate/physics/Electron/SetCutInRegion world 1 mm
/gate/physics/Positron/SetCutInRegion world 1 mm
/gate/physics/SetMaxStepSizeInRegion world 1 mm
/gate/physics/Gamma/SetCutInRegion phantom 0.1 mm
/gate/physics/Electron/SetCutInRegion phantom 0.1 mm
/gate/physics/Positron/SetCutInRegion phantom 0.1 mm
/gate/physics/addProcess Decay
/gate/physics/addProcess RadioactiveDecay
/gate/physics/processList Enabled
/gate/physics/processList Initialized
Within the simulated data I can easily see the beta+ emitters such as:
O-15 or C-11. The physics list also contains the radioactive decay for
the GenericIon.
However, there is no decaying processes of those beta+ emitters. They
obey only ionIoni (or ).
Does anyone know what might be the problem?
I would appreciate any helps from you.
Regards,
Jakub
