Hi Kevin and Katrin,

Do you want to share your Materials/Surfaces.xml and point out the problems with it? Which model are you using? Someone on the mailing list might have had similar problems.
In case you are using the UNIFIED model, there is no general convention of how to set the parameters (Surfaces.xml) properly. Different parameter settings work well for different   set-ups (scintillator geometries etc.) when compared to experimental data. If you want to reproduce the results of the paper try contacting the author to ask for the specific surface settings?

I would be interested in following the conversation as well, as I also
encountered problems with optical tracking in GATE and I tried lots of
things and dug deep into the different documentations.
