[Gate-users] Is it possible to produce a Gadolinium-thermal neutron capture reaction in GATE?

Is it possible to produce a Gadolinium-thermal neutron capture reaction in GATE?


I have been trying to replicate the Gd-thermal neutron capture reaction for a long-time in GATE and have not seen any reputable interaction results.

I have tried varying many of the physics lists, actors, models, different experimental setups but, still have not seen any sound results.

I know this interaction can be simulated in Geant4 but, I have not seen any publications performed in GATE.

Does anyone have any insight of if it is possible to replicate this interaction or similar interactions in GATE?



Perhaps, there might be a catch to it?
