[Gate-users] Gate version 8.1 installed, but reports as Gate version 8.0. Bug?

Hi Adam,

Congratulations, you found the first bug in this release. Fortunately it's very benign. :)

I can confirm that we overlooked the version number in the output of the "-version" commandline option.
It's an issue now: https://github.com/OpenGATE/Gate/issues/184

I've just installed Gate 8.1, which seems to have gone smoothly.  If I launch Gate via the command line it reports the correct version:

However, if I ask what version of Gate is installed it reports the previous version:


cmpe at cmpe-HP-EliteBook-8770w:~$ Gate -version

Gate version is 8.0

Can anyone else confirm if they have the same behaviour with 8.1?  I do also have version 8.0 installed, but have checked that my environment variables point only to version 8.1 so I don't think that's causing the problem.
