I already sent this e-mail last week but they were no answer, so I send it again in case some people who know didn't see it.
Hello ,
I am currently trying to simulate a beam of protons in a cube of water, so I'm using the QGSP_BIC_HP physics list.
But I also want to take into account the radioactive decay of the LSO crystals of my detector, so I'm also using the radioactive decay process.
They both work if I'm using them one by one, but once I'm using them both at the same time, the radioactive decay doesn't work anymore.
In the log file of my simulation, it is written that the radioactive process is "enabled" but not "initialized", whereas I'm initializing both of them, as in the following:
/gate/physics/addPhysicsList QGSP_BIC_HP_PEN # Proton's physics
/gate/physics/addProcess RadioactiveDecay # Radioactive Decay.
/gate/physics/processList Enabled
/gate/physics/processList Initialized
I figured that there might be a conflict with two processes so I look at what exactly were in QGSP_BIC_HP and tried to remove the processes one by one to see which one was interfering with the radioactive decay.
It worked when I removed ionization of protons, anti_protons, ions and alphas. I didn't try to remove them one by one but it worked when I took off all 4. The problem is that those processes are very important for my simulation, so I don't really know what to do!
I could do 2 different simulations but I actually want to see if there's a difference when I do it all in one compared to when I do 2 different and I sum them.
Thanks for your contribution!
