[Gate-users] Why can't I set the parameters of the world in Gate by myself?

Hello,

you have to bear in mind that GATE volume coordinates always refer to
the center of the volumes. A world of the size 1000mm means that if
you move your daughter volume to 500mm, the CENTER of that daughter
volume will the right at the border of the world, extending BEYOND the
worlds borders!

More information can be found in the Users Guide, especially in the
Geometry section:
http://wiki.opengatecollaboration.org/index.php/Users_Guide_V7.2:Defining_a_geometry

Best regards,
Philipp
