I've made tessellated solids to work in GATE some time ago... you can 
find it in this repo:
https://github.com/heszg/Gate/tree/develop-tessellated-solids

It's not thoroughly tested, but seemed to work (phantom only, not 
source). You will need some extra code to convert your mesh data into 
the silly .mac file representation I used.
