Dear Alessio,
It works with the modification! Thanks for your help.
It is interesting that I tried the same example1/ on a GATE v6.2, and it worked there with the C11[0.0] notation without problem.
Best,
Yuncheng

Subject: RE: problem on secondary particle generation
Dear Yuncheng
The „problem“ is related to the filtering itself describe at line 115 of your main.mac file:
/gate/actor/carbonMap/particleFilter/addParticle C11[0.0]
if you change this line with the following one
/gate/actor/carbonMap/particleFilter/addParticle C11
you should get your wanted output for C11. Honestly, I am still not sure what those brackets are standing for…
I will come back to you with more input.
Hope it can help meanwhile!
Cheers
Alessio

Subject: [Gate-users] problem on secondary particle generation
Dear All,
Maybe it has been addressed previously, I am wondering if anyone have successfully run the sample at example/example_Radiotherapy\example1. I tried it with both proton and carbon as incident particles in the mac/main.mac file. Both times I had the energy data output, while the C11 files were all empty. The primary beam number was 1e5. The GATE version is 7.1.
How should I change the GATE code or the example1 code to make it produce secondary particles correctly?
Thanks!
Yuncheng
