Hello again, all!
I am still admittedly very new and green to my simulation building in GATE,
but I first want to say thank you to all that have helped me get as far as
I have; and I am starting to build my first successful simulations.
Anyway, I have a LOT of questions (that I'm trying to figure out on my
own), but the first one that has me at a real road block is with the
Physics List for my world to ensure scintillation is actually occurring.
And what kind of Cut Values should I use in my scintillator volume to
ensure correct travel of scintillated photons? I need to get an idea if I'm
headed in the right direction before I build a simulated digitizer readout.
I'm using a LYSO scintillator crystal hitting it with a .511 MeV photon
beam.
And lastly, if anyone wants to chime in on it, is there a preferred DAQ
output between ASCII and ROOT any of you have? I've still got some reading
up to do on both, I just thought I'd ask if anyone here has a preference.
Oh, and if anyone can tell me real quick how to get my visualization box
from disappearing as soon as the simulation ends that would be VERY
appreciated.
Thank you so much in advance for all of your help. I hope you all are doing
well, and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Best regards,
