Hi,
did you correctly specify all the relevant parameters in the
Bin_GATE Programm before compiling??
----
// DLS Parameters
#define N_RINGS 48 // DLS: Number of rings
#define N_SEG 95 // DLS: Number of segments (2 N_RINGS - 1)
#define N_DET 288 // DLS: Detectors per ring
#define S_WIDTH 144 // DLS: Number of radial sinogram bins
#define N_RSEC 24 // DLS: Number of resector
#define N_MODULE 1 // DLS: Number of modules
#define N_MOD_xy 1 // DLS: Number of tangential modules
#define N_MOD_z 1 // DLS: Number of axial modules
#define N_SUBMOD 4 // DLS: Number of submodules
#define N_SMOD_xy 1 // DLS: Number of tangential submodules
#define N_SMOD_z 4 // DLS: Number of axial submodules
#define N_CRYSTAL 144 // DLS: Number of crystals (12x12)
#define N_CRY_xy 12 // DLS: Number of tangential crystals
#define N_CRY_z 12 // DLS: Number of axial crystals
#define MAX_D_RING 47 // DLS: Maximum ring difference
#define N_PLANES 2304 // DLS: Total number of sinograms
#define FOV 147.206 // DLS: Width of the FOV (mm)
#define SLICES_PER_FOV 95 // DLS: Number of slices per FOV
#define USE_OFFSET 0 // DLS: On/Off use of offset
#define OFFSET 0 // DLS: Sets initial sinogram angle

Dear all,
I am trying to convert .root files to STIR projection data using the Bin_GATE utility provided by the GATE website, although the sinograms obtained don't seem to be correct in the sense that, using STIR's manip_projdata I observe that the sinograms aren't filled in the center, despite the number of coincidences gathered (I've used files from 100 000 coincidences up to 600 000 coincidences).
Reconstructing the images with FBP2D I obtain some random lines which indicates a bad sinogram construction.
I am wondering if this is a problem with the utility Bin_GATE or if it is something I am doing wrong.
Thank you in advance,
Gonçalo Cosme
