[Gate-users] Opening Junior professorship Nuclear Imaging, University of Lübeck, Germany

Dear GATE-users,

I am looking for good candidates for a Junior professorship, which is 
just open for applications (deadline: 28th of July).

The successful candidate will be appointed temporary civil servant 
(level W1) for three years. Following a positive evaluation, the 
positions will be extended up to six years in total based on the legal 
preconditions.

Applicants must hold a PhD degree in physics, electrical engineering, 
biomedical engineering or an equivalent discipline.
The candidates should have recognized expertise in nuclear imaging or 
related fields, at least in two of the following areas:
PET, SPECT or gamma imaging; preclinical imaging; radiation detectors; 
prototype development; medical instrumentation application; Monte-Carlo 
simulations, and image reconstruction.

The professorship will be mainly devoted to emission tomography (PET, 
SPECT, multimodality), with emphasis on small animal imaging. Foci of 
the professorship may lie in instrumentation, prototype development, 
modelling, image reconstruction or image analysis. The appointee will be 
also involved in the activities of the future Small Animal Imaging 
Laboratory.
