Hi
Nikos Eftimiou has added "native" ROOT support to STIR recently. You'll need the development version of STIR http://github.com/UCL/STIR
To go to sinograms, you will need to use lm_to_projdata. Example files are available. If you have problems with this, please use the STIR mailing list.
Good luck

Hi Milad,
on the GATE WebPage you find under Download / STIR the page shown below.
Somewhat hidden, there is a link under the word 'here' (in the third line). There
you find available a root-programme that allows to convert data from a root-file
to sinograms usable for STIR. So you need to create root-files. It does not work
with ascii-files in the way!!
I hope this helps!
Best regards,
Uwe Pietrzyk

Hi dear Gaters
I am working on a cylindricalPET and I want to evaluate the spatial resolution.
In accordance with the NEMA NU-4 2008 standards,
I simulated a spherical 22Na point source to measure the spatial resolution.
I have some issues about reconstruction the image.
I installed STIR, but I don't know how can I use my root or ASCII coincidences file on STIR?
I installed also the package GATE_PET_2_STIR but the root file is not recognized.
Do you have alternatives?
Does anyone know how to do it or has any clue?
Best regards,
