Hello guys,

I am trying to use Variance Reduction Techniques in SPECT and CT simulations to speed them up.

In the CT example provided one of the simulations applies VRT, but only in the CT image file from what I can see from the output.mac file:

"

/gate/output/root/enable
/gate/output/root/setFileName benchmarkVRTCT
/gate/output/root/setRootHitFlag 0
/gate/output/root/setRootSinglesFlag 0
/gate/output/root/setRootNtupleFlag 0
/gate/output/verbose 2

#########
# ASCII #
#########
/gate/output/ascii/setOutFileVoxelFlag false
/gate/output/ascii/setOutFileHitsFlag false

############
# CT Image #
############
/gate/output/imageCT/enable
/gate/output/imageCT/verbose 0
/gate/output/imageCT/setFileName benchmarkVRTCT
/gate/output/imageCT/vrtFactor 10

/gate/random/setEngineName MersenneTwister
/gate/output/imageCT/setStartSeed 567489

"

What do I need to do to use VRT for a CT simulation with a ROOT output file?

Thank you.

Cheers,

Andre
