Hello Gate Users,

I am new to the linux OS, and have learned a great deal in the past week only trying to install Gate and its dependencies. so Great.

==The background
I have worked out allof the kinks in the install of Geant4, CLHEP, and other packages required, which are listed on gateopencollaboration.org for Gate_V6.2. I am also using the recommended CLHEP 2.1.1.0, and geant 4.9.5.p01, which are recommended just to be safe. Also I am working on a virtual Ubuntu 13.04 64 bit machine with 100gB of fixed space. I have uninstalled, and re-installed ubuntu for a fresh clean install of Gate and all dependencies.

===the Problem
So...the problem is this, all the way at the end of the installation of GATE_6.2 itself:
1) When I ''ccmake'' from my '/gate_v6.2-build'' directory, everything is fine. no errors. I configure all is great.
2) when I make ( i have but no longer specify -jN just in case, I have seen there were some problems with 6.1), again, it seems to complete and I get message ''ROOT INSTALL SUCCESSFUL'' 'Run Make Install Now''.
3) When I run Make install, it seems to install programs into various directories.

PROBLEM= Is it? When I open the directory '/gate_v6.2-install' the directory is EMPTY. There is not a single folder. Furthermore, after I run bash to set environmental variables, I cannot load GATE.

Can someone please help me resolve this issue. It has taken a while to get to this last stage, it would be a shame to be defeated by the Linux OS at this last step.

Thanks,

Jerome
