Hello Siman,

I am not quite sure if this has (been) changed lately, but Gate did not use to support parallel compilation with distributed compilation jobs. In case this still holds true, using the "-j" switch together with the "make" command you issued would result in compilation errors when one of the compilation jobs running in parallel would require another one that was started before and has still been running to be done already.

A solution might be to simply try to make the project without the "jobs" switch, i.e. just "make" itself. You might wanna try that. Keep in mind that you might need a "make clean" before to get rid of any remnants of your previous try at compiling.

Dear GATE-users,

I have been trying to install the new GATE version 6.2 on redhat.

I have installed CLHEP, ROOT and GEANT4.  and the cmake ./gate_v6.2 was successful.  However, when I tried to run the make command: make -J7, I receive error messages as the following

make[1]: *** [CMakeFiles/Gate.dir/all] Error 2
make: *** [all] Error 2


I was wondering what might have gone wrong.  Please advise.  Thank you for your help
