I followed the *GATE 5.0.0_p01 install guide for Ubuntu
*but stuck* *in* *GATE installation to define the environment variables in
env_gate.sh. Based on the instruction we need to:
8) Set environment variables; copy the following text into a file in the
Gate5 directory called set_env.sh, and replace USERNAME with your user name:
*# Open-GATE:
export OPENGATE_HOME=/home/USERNAME/Gate5
export GATEHOME=${OPENGATE_HOME}/gate_v5.0.0_p01
export G4VERSION="9.2"
export G4INSTALL=${OPENGATE_HOME}/geant4.9.2.p02
export ECAT7_HOME=${OPENGATE_HOME}/ecat_7
export LMF_HOME=${OPENGATE_HOME}/lmf_3.0
export ROOTSYS=${OPENGATE_HOME}/root
export
PATH=${ROOTSYS}/bin:${GATEHOME}/bin/Linux-g++:${GATEHOME}/tmp/Linux-g++/Gate:${PATH}
# VRML viewer :
#export G4VRMLFILE_VIEWER=/opt/vrmlview/vrmlview
if [ -n "$LD_LIBRARY_PATH" ] ; then
export
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=${ROOTSYS}/lib:${OPENGATE_HOME}/clhep_v2.0.4.2/lib:${OPENGATE_HOME}/gate_v5.0.0_p01/tmp/Linux-g++/Gate:${LD_LIBRARY_PATH}
else
export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=${ROOTSYS}/lib:${OPENGATE_HOME}/clhep_v2.0.3.2/lib
fi
source ${GATEHOME}/env_gate.sh*
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
there is no set_env.sh file, so I copy and paste on the env_gate.sh at the
top of this file
*# Open-GATE:
export OPENGATE_HOME=/home/siti/Gate5
export GATEHOME=${OPENGATE_HOME}/gate_v5.0.0_p01
export G4VERSION="9.4"
export G4INSTALL=${OPENGATE_HOME}/geant4.9.2.p04
export ECAT7_HOME=${OPENGATE_HOME}/ecat_7
export LMF_HOME=${OPENGATE_HOME}/lmf_v3.0
export ROOTSYS=${OPENGATE_HOME}/root
export
PATH=${ROOTSYS}/bin:${GATEHOME}/bin/Linux-g++:${GATEHOME}/tmp/Linux-g++/Gate:${PATH}
# VRML viewer :
#export G4VRMLFILE_VIEWER=/opt/vrmlview/vrmlview
if [ -n "$LD_LIBRARY_PATH" ] ; then
export
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=${ROOTSYS}/lib:${OPENGATE_HOME}/clhep_v2.0.4.2/lib:${OPENGATE_HOME}/gate_v5.0.0_p01/tmp/Linux-g++/Gate:${LD_LIBRARY_PATH}
else
export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=${ROOTSYS}/lib:${OPENGATE_HOME}/clhep_v2.0.3.2/lib
fi
source ${GATEHOME}/env_gate.sh

However when I type source env_gate.sh, there is nothing happens. The
cursor just blink. Am I doing the right thing?
Thanks
