To Whom it May Concern,
I have been attempting to compile GATE on a machine running Scientific Linux 6.4 (Carbon), on a 64bit AMD machine and have run into a few problems that I was hoping somebody may be able to help me out with.
I downloaded the gzipped tar file from the GATE webpage, and followed the instructions from the web page: http://wiki.opengatecollaboration.org/index.php/New_Compilation_ProcedureV6.2 .
There is already on this machine a running version of Geant4 (4.9.5.p01), so I did not compile this but I did source the setup file. In addition, there is a running version of the CLHEP v2.1.1.0 so neither did I compile this, but I again sourced the setup file.
I then created a build and install directory per the installation instructions, and attempted to compile via 'ccmake ../gate_v6.2' from the build directory. The error message from the MakeFile cache indicates that there were problems opening the defs.h file for reading located in /extra/apps/CLHEP/2.1.1.0_gate/include/CLHEP/Units, although it seems to have the standard read write privalleges: -rw-r--r--.
This was followed by a message about Call Stack and FIND_PACKAGE.
The makefile cache indicated that it could not find a CLHEP library:
CLHEP Library Not Found. After I saw this message, I tried to make sure that the proper library path was defined, but I had no luck in getting rid of this compilation error message.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Lars Ewell
