[Gate-users] why there is a flip flag in the Bin_GATE_v1.0.c

Dear all,
          I use the Bin_GATE_v1.0.c to convert the GATE simulation outputs to the STIR inputs.
          When I read the code, I don't know the why there should be a flip flag in there.
          Dose it relate to the segment number, or something else?
