I think I know what's going on

Instead of

/gate/physics/addProcess MultipleScattering e+
/gate/physics/addProcess MultipleScattering e-


One needs to use

/gate/physics/addProcess eMultipleScattering
/gate/physics/processes/eMultipleScattering/setGeometricalStepLimiterType
e- distanceToBoundary
/gate/physics/processes/eMultipleScattering/setGeometricalStepLimiterType
e+ distanceToBoundary


as shown in file Physicslist_EM_std.mac
