Dear Matthieu,
fastI124 generates a set of particles (gammas end positrons) to mimic a decay; so there is no nuclear decay, no atomic deexcitation. All particles in a bunch are emitted from the exact same location and then tracked by Geant4 and left to their own fate.
Hope this helps,
Richard

Subject: [Gate-users] FastI124
Dear all,
I work with fastI124 source and I have some questions !
I would like to know if it is possible to identify (by an "numberID") the initial decay responsible for the emission of positron and cascade gamma.
To be more specific : can I include in out bin file the position of the decay (and not the position of annihilation gamma) or just a "numberID" of this decay ?
And, about fastI124 : is this position (or numberID) will be identical between a positron and one of this "cascade gamma" ? I don't now if, in class GateFastI124.cc, we really have a "cascade emission" (so, with the same initial decay).
Thanks !
Matthieu.
