[Gate-users] Problem for creating source of 131 I type histogram

Hello,

don't know if you've fixed your problem already. Don't have that much time to go deeper in your files but at first look, you should probably:

- complete your beta spectrum. The data you use (density probably) seem correct but you're missing the end of the spectrum at higher energy (check the maximum b energy for 131I).
- the intensity should correspond to the number of particle that is emitted by each type of particle (around 1 for beta,0.76 for monoenergetic electrons and 1.8 for photons, I think). The value itself is not important. Only the ratio matters.
- you may also wanna change the position according to you own phantom if this has not been already done.

What i usually do when i create a new source file is to check the total energy that is deposited in a large high density phantom. If you didn't do all wrong, you should obtain about the same energy as the one that is theoretically emitted (mean). I do it for each source type separately.

Hope this helps.

Best regards

Thibault
