How do I limit a magnetic field to a volume?

I understand that I can simulate a magnetic field with the command (in the
x-direction):
/gate/geometry/setMagField 0 0 3.0 T

I do however not want the magnetic field to be constant in my setup but
want a weaker field for z<0. Can I confine a magnetic field to a specific
volume, or is there another workaround?
