[Gate-users] Variance reduction, splitting primary particles in Gate V6.1

Dear All:

I am currently simulating a CT scan (similar to example_CT) on a 
voxelized phantom.  I would like to apply variance reduction techniques 
such as particle splitting to improve the statistics.

Is it possible to apply "splitting" to all primary particles (photons) 
that enter a specific volume or voxel?  I do not wish to apply splitting 
for a given physics process, since it will be the un-attenuated photons 
that primarily contribute to the signal in the detector.
