[Gate-users] How to transfer the “.root” to “.dat” !?

Hi Spencer!
You can create your own ASCII file from the Root output. You just need to use a Root macro to do it. I'm sending you an example. In that example, I'm extracting the endpoints and the timing of the coincidence events of a PET simulation and saving it into a simple ASCII .txt file. To run it, you simply type the following in a terminal window:
>root ./extractLOR.cpp
Hopefully, this gives you a good starting point.
