[Gate-users] GATE user meeting at the IEEE NSS-MIC in Valencia

Dear GATE Users,

A GATE workshop will be organized during the next 
IEEE MIC conference to be held October 23-29 2011 
in
Valencia, Spain 
(http://www.nss-mic.org/2011/NSSMain.asp). The 
workshop will take place on Friday 28th October 
2011 from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm, at Melia Hotel room 
1-2-3.

This workshop will include:

1. Presentation of the latest version of GATE, 
including new functionalities for modelling 
external radiotherapy experiments, hadrontherapy 
experiments with live demos.
2. Presentation of research activities based on GATE by GATE users.
3. Presentation of the on-going and future developments of GATE.
4. Discussion between GATE users and OpenGATE members

To give a representative view of current research 
activities based on GATE, about 6 contributions 
will be selected for oral presentation. If you 
would like to present your research activities 
making use of GATE,
please submit an abstract describing the 
important features of your work and the specific 
use of GATE for this research. Summaries should 
be no more 2 page long. There is not predefined 
layout for the abstract, but it should be sent as 
a PDF document.
Abstracts should be submitted to both the 
technical coordinator of OpenGATE (Sebastien Jan 
at sebastien.jan at cea.fr) and to the spokesperson 
of the collaboration (Irène Buvat at 
buvat at imnc.in2p3.fr) by September 15, 2011.

The detailed workshop program will be made available by September 30th, 2011.
