Dear Cindy.

LSO is Lu2SiO5 crystal LYSO is Lu2(x)Y2(1-x)SiO5. Check carefully what is x
in LYSO placed in Materials database of Gate. I think it is x=0.3, while now
most people use x=0.05 in their scanners. Please check the LYSO data you
have to use. Detection properties of LYSO crystal depend VERY much on
relative Lu/Y content (x). You can check it for yourself in
http://physics.nist.gov/PhysRefData/Xcom/html/xcom1.html . The error in x
(i.e. using default Gate LYSO) cost one person wrong data in M.Sc. thesis.

Kind regards

Hi,

In my simulation, the two types of scintillators(LSO and LYSO) will be
used. But i couldn't find the different properties between them exactly.

Who can tell me the exact property comparision about effective Atomic
Number(Z),Density,Light Yield,Decay Constant,and ?(Linear Attenuation
Coefficient),if could,cost price ,too.Thanks very much!

Best regards,

Cindy
