Hi,
I don't know, if there is another way to find the solution you want.
Maybe anybody else has an idea?
I suppose, that also in the root-files the information about volume IDs are
stored. Thus it also should be possible to "count" the hits or singles there.
These files are not so huge. But I'm not so familiar with root-programming, so
I cannot help you with this.
Of course, with "count" I don't mean counting by hand, but automated with some
self-written routine in any programming language you know.
And this should be also possible with ASCII-files.
But maybe another GATE-user has a better idea.
