[Gate-users] Beta Minus source configuration ?

Dear Nicolas.

 

I think you should use general ion source. You elect the isotope and Gate
does all else for you.  The penalty is that the ion source is slower than
the usual one. There are some explanations in the Users Guide, but for me
quite incomplete. Here is example of source.mac macro for 22-Na source. It
is for Gate 3.0.0, and I know that there were some problems reported in Gate
6 patch 1 with ion source.  Note that the commented lines originate from
benchmarkPET.mac  and for ion source are not necessary. The source is
cylindrical.

Below are the environment variables for Gate 5.0 for Windows. Some of them
are not standard in normal Gate installation. Add them to your environment
with proper changes for your Linux installation. You need to import the
packages from the net, if you do not have them. Google will find them. Most
of the additional data are text files.
