[Gate-users] Is the time resolution for singles?

Hi Jinxia,
I think you are right, the time resolution is set for the singles. In
the documentation this module is applied to the singles chain, so it
should be that way. A few months ago, I had the same doubt so I ran a
simulation to try this module. I used a digitizer with a time
resolution module of 4.13 nseg FWHM. This means that the FWHM for the
coincidences should be 4.13*sqrt(2) = 5.84 nseg. I processed the
simulation and made an histogram of time difference between the time
stamps of the two events of each coincidences, and I got the plot I
attach here. The FWHM was 5.9 nseg. With these results I could verify
that time resolution was set to the singles.
