[Gate-users] Question on Generic Repeater in Gate v6.0 p01

Dear Users

I am trying to model a focused collimator for an x-ray projection system
using the generic repeater.

I am trying to use the generic repeater to repeat the cylindrical air holes
in the lead of the collimator. However, because the collimator is focused I
need to specify both translations and a rotation axis/angle for each
individual hole.

My question is does the generic repeater method apply the translation and
then the rotation of the volume it is trying to repeat or does it do the
rotation first. I ask this because I do not think translations and rotation
for general 3D volumes commute (i.e. the order that you do them matters).

If anyone has any information on this or more information on the Generic
repeater method it would be appreciated. I also could use some
clarification on the 'useRelativeTranslation' option in the method.

Thanks
Prasheel Lillaney
