No, sorry, it will be your job to adapt the provided machines to a potential

Because virtual machines can manage multi-core processor but only if your
BIOS have some virtualization specific capabilities.
And as it is of course hardware dependent, we cannot provide this.
The machine will be by default made to run on one core, but anyone will be
able to customize this in the VirtualBox software.
So I talk here about muti-core processors, not about cluster environment
(with multiple machines).
Because there is a big difference in cluster architectures and multi-core
processors.
Using virtual machines in a cluster environment is like letting a monkey
drive a ferrari :-)
It will be much more difficult to succeed in assembling multiple virtual
machines in a network than just compiling GATE on a NFS shared by all
machines in the cluster, in any case.
And in our mind, this machine is rather designed to quickly test GATE or
building some macros for example, in any environment.
The aim is also to avoid the user to be disgusted by the step of compilation
before having testing GATE for the first time !
