I suggest that you'd better determine the equivalet vector and angle of rotation and then apply the rotation once.

Dear all,

Does anyone know how to perform multiple rotations on shapes? For example,
if I want to rotate a geometry by 47 degrees about the x-axis and 27 degrees
about the z-axis, how would I go about doing that?

If I write

/gate/volume_name/placement/setRotationAxis 1 0 0
/gate/volume_name/placement/setRotationAngle 47 deg
/gate/volume_name/placement/setRotationAxis 0 0 1
/gate/volume_name/placement/setRotationAngle 27 deg

GATE will simply use the last specified rotation axis and angle. Is there a
way I can specify a rotation matrix for my volume?

Sincerely,
Fares
