[Gate-users] Using XCAT-attenuation information in simulation

Dear Gate users,

I would like to use the XCAT-4d phantom for simulations with gate.
The data was generated with the program dncat_bin.exe (activity
and attenuation data)

While the integration of the generated voxel data as a source was no
problem (as far as I know at the present), I still have problems to use
the generated attenuation data of the phantom.

In my interpretation (from reading the users guide), the use of a voxelized
phantom needs either a tabulated or a range translator to assign material
properties to each voxel of the phantom. But from the XCAT phantom I
get an attenuation value in float format for each voxel and I have no hint,
how to proceed with this data.

Is there any documentation (or are there examples) for integrating XCAT-phantom
attenuation data into a gate simulation?

Thanks in advance for some hints...
Best regards,

Ulrich Linnemann
