Subject: Re : [Gate-users] SetTranslation & spResolution
Hi,
1)
set translation is "center-to-center"
2)
for spblurring, it is FWHM, (even if in doc it is written that it is sigma, a little error, you can check it in source code)
best regards,

"Aw, come on, who would be so stupid as to insert a cast
to make an error go away without actually fixing the error?"
Apparently everyone.

Objet : [Gate-users] SetTranslation & spResolution
Dear Gaters,
I have two (probably) trivial questions:
1. With setTranslation, is the distance then from center of mother
volume to "center of daughter volume" or is that center of mother volume
to "one edge/surface of daughter volume"? For example, if my world is
200x200x200 cm, and if SPECThead (of dimensions 6x50x40) is translated
by giving /gate/SPECThead/placement/setTranslation 20. 0. 0. cm, then
what does 20 cm signify?
2. When we set the spatial blurring for SPECT with
/gate/digitizer/Singles/spblurring/setSpresolution 2.0 mm, does 2.0 mm
have to be the "sigma of the Gaussian" or the "FWHM"?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Ramya
