Hi José,
Thank you very much for your help and attached simulation! The first time I tried it I got the following error message (as before):
PANIC! - G4SmartVoxelHeader::BuildNodes()
Daughter physical volume hof_brainVoxel_PVP
is entirely outside mother logical volume hof_brain_L !!
*** G4Exception : InvalidSetup
issued by : G4SmartVoxelHeader::BuildNodes()
Overlapping daughter with mother volume.
*** Fatal Exception *** core dump ***
*** G4Exception: Aborting execution ***
Abort (core dumped)
However, when I turn off the visualisation, the simulation runs fine and finishes without problems! This is great news!
(I had to change the material LYSOCe as I did not have that in my GateMaterials.db)
Is there anything I can do to make it work with visualization? I'm running Gate 5.0.0 on Ubuntu 7.10 with CLHEP 2.0.3.2 and GEANT4.9.1.p02. Perhaps I missed to include an important package in the GEANT4 installation?
Thank you very much for your help!
Best regards,
Maria

Hi Maria
Try this code (attached), just uncompress and execute: Gate Main.mac. This
code was tested on GATEV4 and GATEV5 with geant4 9.1 and 9.2, root 5.22 in a
hp dv6000 series laptop with Ubuntu 8.04, and Scientific Linux 5. Let me
know if this helps you. Best regards.
