Ali,

Is the source you are using a voxelized source ? If so, make sure it is translated to the right place. By default, a voxelized phantom is centered at the origin but a voxelized source is centered at the corner of the enclosing box.
Are you using a back-to-back source, an e+ source or an ion source ?

Richard

Hi gate users.
I installed gate3.1.2 successfully in fedora8.
I use gate for dosimetry application in NCAT phantom. when simulation was completed the output dose file (ncat.bin) was truely created.
but the amount of dose in out of body was not zero (the medium in out of body was set tovaccum and it's activity was set to zero).
is it true dose distribution in vaccum by gate?
is my simulation result reliable?
how can i find it's cause and overcome my problem?

best regard

Ali Asghar Parach
