Dear Guillem,

You are right, there is a problem in the application of energy cuts
in GATE v3.1.2. The OpenGATE collaboration is aware of the problem and
this issue is addressed in the collaboration activities.

In order to resolve the problem in GATE v3.1.2, several changes are needed
to be made in some GATE and Geant4's lowenergy electromagnetic processes
classes.

In our group at Sofia University we have implemented 2 patches that
resolve the problem in GATE v3.1.2 - the first patch adds the neccesary
modifications to GATE's source code, and the second patch modifies the
corresponding G4 classes. So if you are interested in patching your
current GATE/G4 installation we can send you an archive with the
modifications and instructions on how to compile.

Please note that we are still testing the above two patches (so far the
results from the tests indicate that the problem is fixed), and as they
are under testing, they are not included in GATE v. 3.1.2 distribution.

Best Regars,
Georgi Gerganov
