POSTDOCTORAL POSITION IN PET IMAGING PHYSICS AT BROOKHAVEN NATIONAL LAB

The PET instrumentation group at Brookhaven National Laboratory seeks  
a bright self-motivated individual with strong analytical skills to  
fill a postdoctoral research position in the physics of imaging with  
positron emission tomography (PET). The research includes the  
development of novel PET instruments and evaluation/optimization of  
their performance, including work in the areas of simulation,  
electronics, data acquisition and processing, and image  
reconstruction and analysis.  Related projects include PET detector  
development based on novel scintillator and semiconductor approaches,  
instrumentation for new applications of PET, and optimization of  
quantitative data processing for clinical research studies.  Ph.D. in  
physical or biomedical sciences, computer programming experience, and  
a DEA background check are required.  Background in medical imaging
