[Gate-users] Error using gjm

Dear Gate Users 

Recently we have run into a problem with the usage of the gate file merger.

After successfully splitting the macro as per the documentation in the 3.1.1 users guide I receive the following error that I have pasted at the bottom.

Something else that we have observed is that gjs dies when you set a root filename and gjm seems to die when you have not set a root filename. Is this my imagination or have others found this? 

Please note that we are using all the current software versions of the gate required software. 
i.e. 
gate 3.1.2
geant4.9.1p02
root 5.20
clhep 2.0.3.3

I have run the benchmark on a single cpu and have no problem with the versions of software that is being used. I would like to believe that Gate is not to temperamental that it has to run with geant4.9.0, root 5.14 and clhep 1.9.3.1 - 2.0.3.1. However I am willing to consider the possibility.  

I would appreciate any comment on these issues.
