Use the text editor which is capable of EASY (not as Word) recognition of
LF/CR and leave them as needed, convert etc. Example is EditPad Lite
(Windows, www.editpadpro.com) which is for free.  I use it to write Gate
macros on Windows machine and have Linux disk as network one.
