[Gate-users] Polished on Optical simulation...

Dear Gaters,

 

One of my colleagues is doing optical simulation with surface roughness.

In his looking into the specification sheet, the manufacture gave us the
roughness of crystal as micrometer.

But, in Gate, the amount of roughness is set as sigma alpha.

Anybody has idea about the relationship between micrometer and sigma alpha?

 

the roughness of crystal on specification sheet

polished : 0.01 micrometer (mechanically)

sliced : 0.5 micrometer

 

Are these values able to be expressed as sigma alpha?

 

Any guessing is welcome~
