[Gate-users] root output histogram - Ion_decay_time_s

Dear Gaters.

I used normal generation of root file with Gate (3.0.0), and then using
digigate, based on the produced root file. It looks that histogram
Ion_decay_time_s is showing less entries after digigate use, albeit
digitizer processes the same Hits

Anybody knows which part of Gate produces (and how) the histogram
Ion_decay_time_s, found in the begining of root file (wood?),above Hits,
Singles etc.? BenchmarkPET.C uses it to count the amount of processed
decays. There is generation of this histogram in
http://opengatecollaboration.healthgrid.org/GATEusers/documentation/REFERENC
E_MANUAL/html_v1.1.0/GateToRoot_8cc-source.html lines 00425nn but I cannot
understand where the histogram data come from.

I run into confusion, as I created for my PET system two single chains – one
default Singles, and then using Digigate (digitizer optimization) a second
LESingles from Hits. The amount of processed decays shown by
Ion_decay_time_s is different (factor of three) in input and output root
files, which I find strange, if the Ion_decay_time_s really counts the
processed decays.
