Hello all,
I have recently installed GATE v3.1.2 along with updated versions of OpenGL,
CLHEP, ROOT, and Geant4. Everything appears to be in order. However, I do
get one strange message when using the GATE viewer:
PreInit> /vis/open OGLSX
/vis/open OGLSX
Got standard cmap
Window name: viewer-0 (OpenGLStoredX)
Xlib: extension "XFree86-DRI" missing on display ":0.0".
A blank window does open up, but is very unstable (i.e. if I try to move the
window using the mouse, it doesn't refresh itself) In addition, sometimes
things are plotted properly (the PETbenchmark visualization, for example),
but when attempting to run the command-line examples within the user's
manual, nothing appears on the open window.
I originally thought that the problem was due to limited RAM. I recently
upgrade my PC (running a Linux virtual machine) to 3 GB which I believe
should be adequate.
Please let me know what possible reasons may cause this "XFree86-DRI"
missing on display" error. Thank you for your time!
Freddie
