hi,
in that case, I think that using the pileup module should be the 
solution.The time interval into which events are piled up should be 
short between mean physical event time interval. May be modifying the 
code source of pilup module in order to treat the special case of 
addition of physical event and noise event (eventID>0 and eventID==-2) 
by forcing eventID of the resulting event to be equal to those of 
physical event.
Do you think this solution could match your requirements ?
