[Gate-users] Help for installing Gate 3.1.2

Hi All,

I am new to GATE and I have never worked on this kind of Source Code before,
and I am having trouble installing it, I have been facing problems where
source code does not compile.

 I have been using this link *'http://cc.in2p3.fr/docenligne/674'* to
compile source code and I have problem with compiler compatibility. So I
want to know what is the most recommended system I should use, like in Linux
which 'GUI' I should use, and which processor , some good OpenGL  which are
easily compaitible with GEANT and any other hardware specification. Because
I have to use GATE for minimum requirement. As I am a student I have wasted
1 month on this, so please any one can guide me through the installation of
GATE, it would be very helpful.
