[Gate-users] Questions regarding SPECT simulations

Dear GATE users:

I'm using GATE to test a SPECT scanner with a pin-hole collimator. During
its validation process, I became aware that simulation results with
collimator and without collimator are exactly the same. Strangely, on the
collimator's simulation, I haven't any information concerning the Compton
diffusion in collimator. Additionally, no errors were presented during the
macro execution.

I'm now analysing .root and .dat files to find a reason for these results.
However, I have some questions regarding these files:

- Suppose that I attach more than one PhantomSD to different volumes
(e.g. collimator, table, etc.) on a SPECT scanner. By default will I have
these sensitive volumes defined on comptVolName Canvas?

- Is sourcePosX,Y,Z coordinates related to the source emission? And
what about globalPosXYZ?

- What is meant by "XYZ position of the annihilation in world
referencial" on gateSingles.dat description on page 139 of GATE's manual (v.
3.1.2)?

Thank you for your help.

King regards,

Ana Oliveira
